Gratefulness is my prayer
I walk around each day and observe people, how they walk, talk and just exist. Each person in her/his own story and reality. Then I think of my own reality. Waking up each morning bith cronic pain that sometimes doesn’t ease until midday. I walk with sharp pains in my groin, knee and shoulders.
I then observe these other people who take for granted these normal everyday stuff. I was once like that. Then today I had a better day and went to the supermarket. As I walked around I relized I wasn’t in pain didn’t limp and felt normal, if only today could be every day. I then thanked the Lord the Universe and my hger self and repeated 4-5 times how grateful I was to be walking today like everyone without the sharp pain I usually have when I walk and not trying to hide it from otehrs, only the sweat on my face made me look suspecious.
My dad had an accident many years ago which left him in a wheelchair. I never could comprehend his agonies all these years. But I do remember once he said to me “if for only one day the pain diminishes I will be so happy that day”. We should all be grateful not only for the material things we have but the everyday simple and things we take for granted things. These are the things which most of us forget to acknowledge until its too late.
Life is amazing and everything that we have is a gift, something to pray for , to be grateful and cherish each and every day of our lives. I have osteartritis in all my joints, new hipjoins and waiting to operate my shoulder joint , both knees and back. I still have hope to find more such days as today to be blessed and grateful for. Maybe my miracle will come true..
I pray for your miracle, too. Â My days are similiar to yours. Â I am grateful for the scooters at the grocery store. I actually enjoy driving them. <3
