You know what doesnt make me smile?

I want to send Marco a gift but I don’t have his address and I don’t want to ask him straight out because I want it to be a surprise. I ask Fred to ask him for me. Fred said he would text Marco and say he wants to send him a card. I like sure we can send him a get well soon card. I buy a card and have people from work sign it and Fred got the address. So I put it in the mail and I refrain from sending him any text messages well on1: because I have been reading this advice website on how the girl shouldn’t text the first guy and he will text you if he wants to and if he doesn’t then he does not care enough. 2: I really did want to see if he would make the effort to text me first impatiently wait for him to contact me I mean the card should got to him in a day or two but no word. I starting to think that maybe it was the wrong address or it got lost in the mail or maybe he was waiting for me to text him like I always do. I really didn’t want to text him but on Sunday I had an excuse St Patrick’s day. No response so I send him a text and ask him if he got Tony’s care package. He finally gets back to me and says thanks for the card and he almost walking and it made him smile. I’m kind of mad that he didn’t just send a quick got your card thanks or something. Am I out of line? I mean it’s kind of rude I mean he didn’t even have to send a text to me it could have been anybody that wrote in the card but nope not him. I do realize that’s it was not even a week that had went by but the more you leave something off the most likely forget it and he should have wanted to say thanks. I mean what could he have possible be doing at home with a broken leg that he didn’t have time to send a quick text? All this after he said on valentines day that he appreciates my friendship. Well that’s not really showing it granted he did text that after I texted him first and it was a day late. It might take me a wile to get over this.
