Summer’s Greetings

No, no. i have not died. i am not lost. there is no need to send a search party for OD’s fallen brother. it’s summer and i’ve taken up working at the camp again. as well as a part time job on top of that. time is a lesser commoditiy of mine lately. seems all i do is work and sleep. but what can i say, i love the kids. this week i happen to have 3 autistic kids in my group of 9. such a handful but great children. others think of me as the unlucky one for having so many "undesirables" in my group. but these kids don’t have a choice, just trying to live to the best ability that they’re able. i’ll display the patience and give them the time they need. once you get passed the autistic shell, they’re awesome kids, bright and funny. they just need attention and care. so i’m thinking later on i might go to a school district office and take the test to become a special needs classroom aide. my girlfriend said it’s one of those things that takes sooo much patience to deal with, and if you’ve obviously got the patience, it’s almost your duty as a fellow human to put it to use in such a way. i think she’s right. these kids need all the love and patience they can get. well anyway, i hope the summer is going good for everyone reading this. and a cool one at that. it’s been absolutely dreadful here in Los Angeles. ii’ve got an awesome concert coming up saturday. Hootenanny for all you rockabilly cats. gonna be a swingin time. me and my girlfriend are going strong. things are all around pretty nice. i wish i had new poetry to share. but soon as it comes, you’ll see it. and with that, i say my goodbyes…
