The Ugly C-word

The word Cancer has always been scary to me. I’ve lost a lot of family to it.  Most of these were extended family.  But now.  Now its in my immediate  family.  My stepfather…  no.  My Dad  has recently been diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma.   We don’t know what the steps  are next.  He sees an oncologist  tomorrow at some point.

Needless  to say , my family and I feel completely  blindsided.  I’m doing my best to craft,  write,  and pretend nothing is wrong.  But things are wrong.  I guess its true.  Cancer does  not discriminate.

Sadly, cancer does not discriminate.  Both my sister (59 years old at the time) and my father passed away from cancer.  I’m afraid of cancer too.  I’m so sorry to learn that your father has cancer.

There are more people who beat cancer today then they did in years past.  I have a feeling your dad will beat this….You just need to get as educated as you can so you know….
