Monday, 6/8/12.

Yesterday was my mum’s birthday so I treated her to a carvery at the Globe. Roy came too, but Thorpe was at dragon boat racing and didn’t make it. I got her a lovely handbag because that’s what she’d asked for and of course she was like ‘… eh, I don’t know about the colour …’ typical mother. I told her to let me just get her a gift voucher and she could get one herself! Anyway, I told her she’s welcome to exchange it for one she likes because I got a gift receipt, so no harm, no foul.

I read The Hunger Games last night. I started it the night before and got hooked, so I literally sat on the couch for two hours and finished it off yesterday evening. It was awesome. So now I’m gonna have to buy the other two, among the many other books I want. 

Back to work today 🙁
Gonna pick up a half-price chinese selection box for dinner though and then doing the quiz tonight so I’ll look forward to that!
