Life goes on

So I was mysteriously fired from tutor.com even when preparing to take another math test. It turned out that in certain states like California they only want tutors with Calculus and more advanced subjects, and I made the mistake of going for algebra. So I was rejected. Ouch. My ego got a little bump there. But guess what, I can do calculus too of course, so I may try again, or just say the hell with tutoring and help start-ups with software development instead. There are loads of these in the Silicon Valley, so why waste my time being a tutor. I have read all the self-help from Tony Robbins etc saying that money is abundant and everything, and that we are all supposed to be rich, but I just do not see it yet, it ain’t clicking.

Well that’s a rude. If they don’t value certain skills they shouldn’t lead people on. Or maybe they only want cheap tutors in India where the labor isn’t regulated and they don’t have to pay FICA taxes. Money is definitely abundant but people who have it seem to like to keep as much of it as they can. I keep hearing the trend among smart startups is to outsource everything with contracts for specific tasks. Supposedly there are auction sites where people can bid on these tasks, but I don’t know where they are. Seth Godin who knows everything (just ask him) says these are the job markets of the future.

Ooh that’s not good, but other doors are opening I read…

Oh wow, I’m surprised they don’t have students that NEED tutors in algebra. I struggled with algebra fare more than I did with Statistics and Finite (higher level math than algebra).
