Forest of Your Eyes
The Forest of Your Eyes
(written Jan. 8 2018)
My love,
I have been eternally lost in your eyes.
My heart sings like the morning sun would arise.
I wandered off in my youth,
into the twinkle and the twilight of your gaze.
Years later,
I’m lost in you and I can’t escape this maze.
You are beautiful.
Your eyes give you away like a chapter in a story.
I have been trapped and I am the prey in this quarry.
I am paralyzed.
I can’t escape.
If I dare to get away, I am haunted and your presence lingers.
I desire you to caress me with the tips of your fingers.
To feel you stroke my long, darkĀ hair.
To lie next to you and become lost in your stare.
Oh, how the distance and separation is unfair.
Looking into your eyes has me enthralled.
I am fascinated by the green that reminds me of a deep forest, drawing me in.
Then I become trapped in the amber, as if setting me on fire, and there’s no getting out.
You are mesmerizing. Captivating. I am in love with you, without a doubt.
I try to look away from you with all my might.
Yet I can’t bare the thought…
of taking you from my sight.
Kiss me tenderly …
I want to tangle my fingers through yours.
Touch me …caress me. You are my euphoria.
I miss and long for you …my love …my one.
