Oh Happy Day

Yesterday was quite successful for me! There have been quite a few things in my life that have been stressing me out and keeping me in this state of anger and resentment.
Needless to say, they were taken care of!

For the past couple weeks at work, a few of the new people aren’t doing their jobs. The jobs are rudely shoved onto me when they’re not even in my department, nor jobs that I should be doing at all giving the higher status that I have. I like to help out where I can, but I’m tired of picking up after sheer laziness.

Garrett and Janay left work the other night, disappeared without telling anyone and went over to Best Buy to look at TVs while I had to pick up MASSIVE slack because customers and clients were going without help, were complaining, and no one was there to help them since they disappeared. I had to stop everything I was doing with the client I was working with and go quickly try and get everyone taken care of. It was pathetic.
Garrett and Janay came back, and while I was busting my ass trying to finish everything that needed to be done so we didn’t have to stay late, they stood up at the front and tossed paper clips back and forth to each other for hours.

PATHETIC.

So I finally kinda went apeshit. I was ready to quit. I met with Greg yesterday and filed a formal complaint against them listing all the things they’ve been doing or NOT been doing the last week. Greg and I had a GREAT talk and I was honestly shocked that he was going to handle things. After two years at this place, this is the first manager that I’ve had actually take care of business. It was quite refreshing.
Apparently Greg loves me, he talks to everyone about how much he loves me and appreciates me and speaks very highly of me. Thats such a nice feeling.

So that was "Success #1." The problems at work are TAKEN CARE OF. 😀

Problem 2:
I live in a limited parking availability apartment complex and there has been this red car stored in MY parking spot for about a month, maybe a month and a half. The car has not moved an inch, no one is using it, they’re just storing it there and it forces us to have to park on the street and walk 200 feet home after a hard days work. I finally got sick of it and I wrote a note and put it on the car.
I didn’t think it would do anything since these people have been trying to snake my spot for the entire time we’ve lived here. It rained while I was at work so I didn’t think they’d even see it but … when I got home from work that day, the car was gone and stored on the street like the rest of us do with our additional "unused" cars.

That was "Success #2." Car is gone and I can park in my DESIGNATED spot again!

Adam and I have been a little distant the past couple weeks because I’ve been busting my ass to get everything taken care of for us to move, start packing and cleaning and all that and he’s basically been over at his friends house every day. So I’ve felt kinda… taken for granted.
Anyway, I finally was able to express my feelings to him and we had a good talk and I really hope that issue will get better.

That was also a success.
I feel good today!! 🙂
