Today I Was…
A gardener – pulled out peas, watered new seed beds, picked raspberries and beans, flowers, the last peas.
A homeschool mom – the kids did a bit of school this morning and were so helpful doing their chores while I was in the garden.
A friend and homeschool mentor – we had violin friends over and the kids played and their mom and I talked homeschool, violin, and summer. We ate homemade pizza, and the yummy fruit she brought. I loaded her down with free goodies the kids’ have outgrown and she bought a few of the things I wanted to sell (the best ones – she has good taste!).
An Adult Ed teacher – I worked with my student today, spur of the moment.
A home-maker – cleaning the bathroom again, making a special supper, and arranging flowers for the second round of company.
A hostess – welcoming my husband’s boss for supper. We’re so blessed that he’s really, really nice AND really, really good at his job.
A great day, productive, rewarding, and fun. (And exhausting!)
Fewer hats tomorrow!
Phew!! 🙂

ryn- ooh, thanks for the recipe! I’ll have to try it now that I have room to freeze things (!!). I can’t get bell peppers to grow here. They’ll get to be about as big as maybe a small tennis ball and then they’ll rot off from the bottom. Too much water, maybe? Habaneros, jalapenos, & pimentos grow well though. Who knows. It’s a mystery, just like why can we grow squash and zucchini by the box full but all of our cucumber plants die….
