Just give me my money
I get reimbursed for health insurance premiums through my retirement plan. And it’s on automatic reimbursement every month. It works well. Except this month. The reimbursement wasn’t pushed forward. So I call the benefits line and have to go through an automated list until I finally reach a human. As I try to explain what has happened, all the service rep does is look at what is listed on screen (just like me). The problem is both my husband and I receive reimbursements, but I manually send documentation every month for his reimbursement so there won’t be any confusion. However, the rep is still confused. All she sees is the reimbursement sent for him earlier in the month. For some reason, she’s not looking at the reimbursement that should have been sent out on the 5th still holding and not sent out. She tells me to call my bank. I say I’m not calling my bank concerning funds that have not been deposited into my account. I finally have the opportunity to explain everything in detail and she eventually gets it. So then she says she’s going to tag it and send a request further up/down the line. Today I received notification that my money will be deposited in 3 business days, the same notice I receive every month. I don’t know what happened. Stuff just happens. Maybe they are suffering from a staffing shortage like every other company according to the news. I’m not enjoying the new normal. This reimbursement issue isn’t a huge problem. I guess I’m just tired of Covid because this virus is creating chaos wherever it goes. It has stretched people and not everyone is flexible.
I know how you must feel. I fear there will not be a really really new normal.
