Is it me or are people getting lazier

Today I had two strikes against me.  I was expecting a check from UPS for a refund because an overnight package wasn’t delivered until 4 days later.  Originally, the UPS store said they filed a claim with UPS and to expect a check the next week.  Didn’t get the check.  Contacted UPS online and they emailed me back saying to go to the store because that’s where the shipment originated.  So I did.  And they contacted billing and was told I’d receive the check within 15 days.  So why couldn’t I receive that information from UPS?  Somebody somewhere is not paying attention.

I also sent receipt of payment to my retirement benefits dept. for insurance premium, just like always.  Same documentation, same format.  Received a denial of claim.  I re-sent all of the information and am waiting to see what they say.  I think someone’s not paying attention to the entire documentation.

The day didn’t start out so great.  I hope it gets better.  At least it’s not raining right now.  That’s a plus.
