Job Rant
Life has been very… adventurous, to say the least. I keep promising to write about Pennsic… and I will
Eventually…
I’m going to quit working at Juicee’s very soon (if I haven’t already?). The dancing is fun, but the place sucks. All they are about is making more money. I have to pay for a set even if no one is at the runway for me to dance for.
The men are cheap and rude, too. They expect me to strip for free? Yeah, right… if there’s no money on the counter, they’re shit outta luck. I’ll keep my clothes on.
Not like many guys show up. The joint is in the ass-end of nowhere. I got lost trying to find it, originally.
It’s a seedy place as well. If you get impressions from Moulin Rouge and Chicago, you think bright flashy lights, fun, and entertainment. This place is dark, dingy, and dirty. There’s an undercurrent of sex-driven perversion… like blood and beating and rape, or something of the sort. The men expect you to lose your clothes in three seconds, stroke yourself (and masturbate), and talk dirty to them. They think they can take you home and play out their disgusting fantasies with you.
And they aren’t even drunk, for Christ’s sake.
This isn’t the strip joint for me. I’m not making enough to put up with it.
I’m starting to look into clubs up by Hartford and over in Providence.
Something’s going to change… soon.
Hey,the guys were like that at my club too. I didn’t have to pay for sets though,the club was hoppin enough without the strippers (bands were kick ass),i only had to pay my bouncer (my body gaurd i liked to call him-good old charlie)im thinking about getting back into the exotic dancing profession,im strapped for cash all the time now.anywayz,good luck

I’ve been in a few strip spots… seedy and not-so-seedy… so I feel where you’re coming from. Good luck with that… 🙂

Girl, don’t stay somewhere you’re that uncomfortable at. I’m sure you can get a job where they’ll respect you more, and there’s a larger clientel. Good luck with that =) Love;
