Robert at 20 months / First visit to the Zoo
9:28pm
*sigh*
I wish I had time to trick out websites that I use (Facebook, OD, etc) and make them look supergood! I wish I knew HOW to do that, but in reality, I barely have time to journal, and I feel the drive to journal all important events in my life. Now that I have Robert I feel that every developmental stage that he goes thru is an important life event for ME! He’s so amazing to watch grow.
Roy’s sick today. He’s been having diarhea and vomiting almost all day. I think he finally quit vomiting around the time I got him to take some pepto bismo. He now has held down 7-up. Poor thing. All day. I didn’t know he was REALLY ill when I left and took the baby to the zoo. Had I known he was going to be vomiting, I would have stayed to take care of him. I don’t think I’ve EVER seen him vomit until today. (and I didn’t SEE it, I just heard him!) Now he’s resting in the bed and the baby’s in there, too. Since 6:30pm!! YIKES if he wakes up and wants to be awake for a while. I’ll be up till the middle of the night. But there still is coffee hot in the kitchen… ( I love my Cuisinart Coffeemaker that keeps our coffee hot all day!! Without any use of electricity after the coffee has brewed.)
OK OK. Let me finally journal some developemental stuff on Robert. He is SO CLOSE to NON STOP talking!!
Things he is saying a lot:
Pillow – "Pi-whoa"
More – "Moe"
Shovel – "Shovow"
Jaw – "Jaow"
Shark – "shock"
He said Rainbow today, kind of. He could say Rain. ("wain") and he could say Bow ("bow"), but to put them together came out kinda like, Bainbow!!
He can say Mint, and Some, and These, and he just likes to repeat them cuz he CAN say them and I think he’s trying to figure out what they mean. (well, he knows Mint!!) I give him Tic-Tacs from my purse from time to time (I carry them just for him, now!)
– oh, and by the way, I think I heard him quickly say, "I love you Mama" about 3 days ago. He didn’t repeat it, and I was so shocked I just needed to have a rewind on the situation!! He wasn’t really looking at me, in fact I think he had just gotten into my car. Anyway. Roy said he thought Robert said an entire phrase consisting of 3 or more words just the other day, too. He’s so close!
Dylan returned to us today from his 2 week vacation to Tennessee and Robert was pretty excited. Dylan was aking me what the baby is saying now, and it’s hard for me to come up with stuff, cuz he’ll say just about anything you ask him to.
OK, this is crazy, but apparently I have time to myself to READ right now!! And I’m reading The Time-Traveler’s Wife, so I think I’d better take advantage of my time to read, or I’ll be S.O.L. And this is a good book!
Later!
