Refrigerator broke/Robert is about to crawl

OK regarding the crawling thing.  I’ve caught Robert a few times on his hands and knees and with his tummy off the ground.  He doesn’t know what to do next.  So he rocks back and forth till he finally will fall on his face or chest.  then he just resumes his tummy surfing that he does while kicking his legs out real fast.  He’s SO CLOSE.

9:33pm

Everyone here is asleep.  It makes me more sleepy than I probably should be!  Plus I’ve been getting up between 5-6am cuz Robert decides it’s time to wake up then!

I worked on Friday after being sick for Tuesday and Wednesday’s shifts.  Then I came home to a freezer that had allowed all that was in it to thaw.  And now I’ve learned that if the freezer is dying then the refigerator section will also be dead cuz it runs from the freezer.  So after everyone had eaten, and Robert went down to sleep , and Dylan had showered, I told Dylan that I was going to the store.  I needed to get styrofoam ice chests and ice to try to save our food.  I do a lot of buying in buld and freezing the extra stuff for later.  So having our freezer go down was VERY upsetting.  That was basically our future food.  And not to MENTION Robert’s frozen breastmilk, which I saw 10-20 thawed bottles in there!!  (once it thaws you must use it within 24 hours or it’s no good)

Dylan and I went to the store together.  While we were there I saw these 2 boys running around like crazy!  (maybe 7 yrs old and a 9 or 10 yr old)  While we were checking out all of the sudden my cashier went dashing away and out the door.  A bagboy followed quickly.  Turns out those 2 rowdy boys stole a beer and ran out of the store!!  I think they got away too.  I saw cops there later, but no boys!!  Gutsy little fuckers.

Anyway.  That night I had to unload the freezer and fridge.  into ice chests that ended up not being enough.  So I had to wake Roy to go get the antique metal ice chests that he scored when he bought an old car.  So he grumpily got the chests and helped me.  Not before much fussing and fighting tho.  *sigh*  Later I sat on the steps and just cried and cried.  For the lost food in the freezer and for the fact that Robert may have to have formula if I don’ t have a stocked up supply of milk.  I don’t make that much milk, so building up a supply like what I had accomplished is quite a feat.  But the truth of the matter is that I always said I didn’t CARE if he got formula.  I feed it to the babies in the hospital all the time.  But the truth of the matter is, apparently, that now that I made it 6 months, I just want him to have breastmilk and not have tto even start on the formula.  Of course if it was necessary, then so be it.  I just cried cuz I was bummed and tired.  I felt a bit better after that and after I got the food all done.  I had tried to call Sears on our warranty to see if I could schedule an appointment to have it looked at and fixed.   Because we HAVE a warranty, they could not help me and I needed to call back in the morning.  Weird.  Seems that if I didn’t have a warranty, I could have scheduled my appt right then and there.  Whatever.

The next morning I called after I thought they’d be there making appts.  They said a guy could be out betoween 1-5pm.  He ended up coming early and fixing it quickly.  Turns out you have to blow out under the fridge at least once a year or it accumulates dust and dirt and when that covers the coils the fridge burns out.  I think he replaced the starter.  So then yesterday I totally scrubbed the fridge and freezer clean.  It hasn’t been this clean since it was new, maybe!!  It looks nice.  Then today I unloaded the 5 ice chests of stuff and loaded up our nice,,clean fridge.  Everything seems to be working fine now!

OK.  Unfortunately, My eyes are getting WAY too heavy soI must lie down and drift away…

Night!

Oh that’s a bummer about the milk!! I Would be upset too, and I for one would cry!! 🙁 At least you got it fixed for free so that’s good. Hey, you’re lucky to get up at 5 or 6…. Miia’s been waking me up between 3.30-4.30! But then again, it’s due to her jetlag. Only a couple of days, I hope, and she’ll be back to normal…. waking me up at 5 or 6! 😀
