March of Dimes Walk

Robert and I did the March of Dimes "March for Babies" on Saturday the 18th. I have never done a charity walk before, and I’m so glad I did!! I was supposed to send out a request for sponsors well before the even, I’m sure. I tried to send out a sponsorship request thru the March of Dimes a few times, and I guess it never worked (I have no idea why) so I kinda THOUGHT I had sent out the request, but later found I had sent nothing!! So here it was, 1 week before the event and I still had no sponsors!! So I finally sent out a request thru Hotmail (my email site) and hoped I’d get someone! To my surprise, the DAY AFTER I sent out my request I got donations in my March of Dimes website!! I couldn’t believe it!! It REALLY warmed my heart and brought tears to my eyes. I can’t believe how generous people can be, and it really made me reconsider how selfish I’ve been in the past NOT donating to causes and requests that friends have sent me in the past. I will definitely be different towards that kind of thing from now on! So I donated $50 and everyone else donated a total of $198, making my total donations $248!! (I needed $250 to get a t-shirt!!) I’ll probably donate another couple of bucks so I can get a shirt!!
