Happy New Year 2010!!

3:03pm
Just thought I’d try to write while uploading pics to snapfish.  I finally organized all my recent photos and so I might actually get something useful done right now!!
Yesterday and today have been fun!  Let’s see…  Yesterday we took a walk with the tenants (Annie, Talisha, Wesley and Hunter) and it was our second walk in a row.  We took all the kids (she has 3 and I have Robert).  Now we have to let the kids out of the stroller s as soon as we get to the private driveway (and sometimes sooner!!)  So they ran around on the mountainside and Robert even did some trails!!  (steep climbing ones to!)  We took some broken off sage for the house.  I have my groovy cellphone clipped to my side while I’m on the mountain and so we listen to reggae.  I have over 600 songs in my phone and I just put it to shuffle all!  It even shuffles in some Signing Time songs of Roberts, and some Hebrew songs as well!!  .  So anyway, after the walk we returned home to have breakfsaast.  (eggs, turkey bacon, tots).  Robert took a nap and I tried to clean the house.  Room by room.  I only managed to get the office and bedroom and the bathroom straightened before he woke up.  I couldn’t believe it!!  I had such plans (of stuff to get done!)  I did manage to hange up the maill holder – wooden – which I got from my Little Grim’s house.
Then Robert and I went to Aunt Donna and Uncle Al’s house.  It had been quite a while since we saw them.  It was a very nice visit and I should have done it long ago!  Unfortunately I had forgotten how to get to her house and I had to call them when I was on the way to ask directions!!  (duh!)  Robert spent a good amount of time on thier window seat.  He found a long cord that he could get strangled by and decided that was the best place to play.  He also showed his true colors, running around uncontrollably and not listening to his mom!  I inquired when I could start beating him!!
After Donna and Al’s we went to the grocery store (Albertson’s).  We got stuff to do s’mores and stuff for dinner.  And I finally returned my borrowed copy of Bruno!!
Then we came home and it was getting dark and cold.  Roy had been anticipating a fire tonight in his new (old) iron stove/fireplace he has outside.  But when we got home we found he had already started the fire.  (and he still had 5.5 hours left till midnight!!)   I went into the house to make dinner, and Robert followed me cuz he wanted to come in and watch a show or play.  (It was pretty cold out)  We had dinner a little while later (Rotisserie chicken, rolls, rice, sweet beans).  We watched Polor Express cuz that was what Robert had already started before dinner.  That’s a cool movie!  Then Roy helped watch Robert after dinner so I could clean up and then he returned to his fire.  I made my Amish Friendship Bread (which was one day overdue!!)  I added milk chocolate chips this time and I think this is the best one I’ve tasted!!  Of course I need professional help to stay AWAY from this yummy cake/bread.  I just can’t get enough!!
Robert went to sleep around 9:30ish and stayed down.  I ended up able to hear (not really watch ) my soaps on the internet, talk to my family over the phone to wish them a Happy New Year (Allen and Phyllis and John are all in SB for the NY)  Wish I could have been there with the baby.  AND I got to paint my nails before the stroke of midnight!!  At midnight I was watching my cellphone for the change from 11:59 to 12:00!!  And we could hear little explosions outside around town off and on.  Then when midnight hit I kissed Roy.  Then our tenants up the hill came out onto their balcony and started blowing these party horns SO HARD they were "tackin’ out!!  They did it for a long time!!  over and over and over.  they were by far the noisiest ones in the neighborhood!!  Roy was laughing at first and banging on his iron fireplace to mark the turn of the year.  But then, he thought it was our neighbors making all that racket!!  when he found out it was our tenants, well.  All he could do is laugh in the end.  I mean it figures, right?!
Today has been nice.  Except for my legs being sore as hell, I’ve managed to get some things done.  Robert and Roy are down for a nap right now.  That damn Friendship bread is calling my name from the kitchen!!
Well, if I put dishes away and fold laundry, I may be able to just (dare I say it) RELAX for the rest of the evening.  I should rent us a movie.  The problem is that I had Bruno out for like, 10 days!!  oops.  Sigh!  I just never get a chance to watch a rated R movie nowadays!!  I’d like to see Funny People I think.
