An update on My Cuteness – Robert at 19 months

As you can tell, I have NOT had any time for journalling!!  Life is crazy busy with a 19 month old Robert running around!!  I can’t take my eyes off him for a second, or he’s up to no good!!  Let’s see, the other day, he walked out of the office for just a moment, and got REAL quiet.  So I went out into the living room to see what he was up to and he was ON TOP OF DYLAN’S BED!!  That means he went around our barrier (which I thought I had zip-tied closed) and climbed the ladder then hiked himself up over the top of the bed!!  I was shocked!  He was SO HAPPY up there!  He was so pleased with himself!  Then I have to let him play for a while, touch the ceiling, and then I have to bodily drag him over to the edge and forcefully take him up over the side, down the ladder and back onto the floor.  Sometimes he lets me!
Then the other night he got real quiet again.  I had only left the office for a brief MOMENT, and when I returned I found him on TOP of his Dad’s desk with a chassis in his hand!!  One of his Dad’s AFX chassis, with no car body attached to it.  Just some wheels and some tires and the gears.  He was SO HAPPY to have it in his hand!  He saw me and got serious about what he was about to say.  He pointed his finger up and said, "DAT" and "BOP" and was enunciating those words with much emphasis to demonstrate to me how serious he really was!!  It was hilarious!!  He really wanted to talk and distract me from taking it away from him!  I told him I could see what he was doing and he wasn’t supposed to be up there…  Needless to say, he was very upset when I removed the chassis from his grip!!  What a stinker!
Something else cute he did the other day:  This has to do with our daily walk.  It used to be that I could push him in the stroller up the driveway and take him for the walk.  He used to ride quietly for the most part and enjoy the ride.  NOW, he insists on pushing the stroller up the driveway (usually) and then demands, "Dow!" or "Doe!" which means "down" when we get part way up the private driveway that is our hardest part of our climb.  So I have to let him get down.  His favorite part is running DOWN that long driveway!  So, since I park the stroller halfway up the drive, I have to chase him down it, then climb with him back up, only to have him try to run down it again!!  He’s so stinkin’ cute!!  I’ll chase that baby!  Till the end of time!
