Those Poor Unfortunate Souls

No reason for the title. Just something stuck in my head. Quick plug: I still want visitors! http://quibodo.myminicity.com/

Now, I decided in my absolute lack of anything worthwhile to say, I’d take the tag offer from pagemaster’s diary. Without further ado, I bring you my six odd things!

1. Steinway’s favorite perch on me is apparently my right shoulder. It makes me feel like I need a pointy hat, but I love it when he does that more than just about anything else.

2. I hate most about myself that I’m somewhat hypocritical about things. If someone were to treat me in a stereotypical, Hollywood styled, romatic way, I’d not trust them in the slightest. However, I find myself getting a little depressed that I’m not treated that way by the man I love (nor can I bring myself to tell him so that he can fix it).

3. While I think I’d shoot myself if I worked in the technological industry, my favorite thing about my job is learning all of the neat tricks built into the programs we use at work, or helping redesign the company’s intranet site to be more intuitive and useful.

4. I always name my vehicles. I’ve only had three, but they’ve each been given names that I thought were appropriate to their ‘personalities.’ My Nissan 240SX was named Joey because I could never tell if it really was a boy or a girl, but it was always loads of fun. My Ford Ranger Splash was named Little Red because I was feeling rather uninspired, and the truck was little and red…that and it actually seemed to respond to the name. My Isuzu Rodeo (current vehicle) is named Florine (after Carly’s middle name) because she’s rather inconspicuous, and pretty much a wallflower, but sweet and fairly dependable.

5. I prefer large paybacks when filing tax returns as opposed to having the appropriate allowances set up so that I owe nothing and receive little back. I know that the later of the two means you get more of your paycheck ‘when you need it,’ but I like feeling like I’ve been given a present or a bonus.

6. I haven’t done a smidge of creative writing in what I think has been a year. For someone who has been dead set on being a fantasy author for so long, that’s a huge set back. The stories are still there; I just can’t seem to get my motivation up and running. Here’s hoping that problem wears off in the near future.

In other news, I have my CPAP machine. It seems to be helping since I’ve slept well both nights I’ve used it. I only had to pay $900 for a brand new machine, too. Don’t ever be afraid to used the ‘woe is me’ sad eyes to get what you want people! It can work! *giggles*

I hope all of you are doing well!

After looking at your title, I seem to recall the bad guy (erm, girl… or, squid) in The Little Mermaid. Glad to hear the sad eyes worked, haha. -Mike

I’m totally the same way about #2. These were all very interesting. I love it when my faves do these things. Awesome!
