Short Stop

1. I love our cat, but sometimes I hate him. Like tonight…when I received a wedding invitation with a return card and envelope. I put it down on the counter so I’d remember to ask Matt if he’d be free/want to attend. I got up about 30 minutes ago, and the flap of the return envelope was just about damaged beyond repair. I’m mailing my RSVP in it anyhow. I’ve taped the damn thing back together well enough…but oooo…I hate that cat sometimes.

2. Today is the first time someone who doesn’t know I’m on Weight Watchers has mentioned that I look like I’ve lost weight. It felt incredibly good to have someone say something who had no motivation other than genuine positive commentary. That’s not to say that my mini support network has been blowing hot air when they’ve said nice things. It’s just that they’re looking for the changes when I visit them. I like to know that people who -aren’t- in the know can see the difference now. (FYI – At my last weigh in I was down 13.2 pounds. I’m gunning for 15 or more by Tuesday.)

3. I’m really super glad my office is closing at 3 tomorrow. I’ve been looking forward to this long weekend for what feels like forever. Yay holidays!
