Brief Update on Matt

So, this weekend I had a smallish chat with Matt. I mentioned the emotional state of our relationship as it appears to me (i.e. it feels like he’s bored with me, and he’s losing me). He looked very puzzled by that, frowned and said, "Then I’m not doing things right. I need to fix that." That, in truth, was probably the best answer he could give me. As if to reaffirm his decision, he only played video games when I was sleeping or showering…which is quite a feat for him. We actually had a few real conversations like we used to as well. AND he called me beautiful for the first time in months. I started crying like a fool when he did, which confused the poor guy naturally…when he realized that I was crying because it had been so long, he looked really upset with himself and said, "I’ve definitely been doing things wrong." I think we may be on the road to mending things. Obviously, I can’t say for sure since it was just one weekend, and I won’t see him this weekend (he’s going to South Dakota to surprise his dad for his 50th birthday).

Oh…and I definitely got plenty of action to make up for the severe dearth of the past few months. We even showered (in a manner of speaking) together…which is something he said early in the relationship that he doesn’t do (it was his idea). I’m feeling much better in general. I halfway wonder if my mild depression was linked to my sexual frustration…

Oh well. I’m doing great (though this week has been stressful at work), and I hope all of you are as well!
