RIP Alisa Forbes

At 6am this morning, my sister in law died of cancer.  Her mother was with her.

I didn’t know Alisa as much as I would have liked to.  My brother isn’t speaking to me, for reasons only he knows.  But, as much as I did know her, I liked her.  She could be ridiculous (she threatened to call off the wedding because my brother went to a strip club on his stag do, for example), but she was a good infuence on my brother.

what makes it easer for me is that she did have cancer and this was expected, rather than it boing something sudden.  Another thing is that she had apparently made her peace with the fact she was going to die, that she wasn’t leaving the hospice alive.
