Hey! Look! An actual entry!

So, the train home was pretty much uneventful and I got home OK.

My first day back, I went into town.  Part of it was shopping for Christmas presents, part of it was to go for a swim, and the last part was to see the new street art.  There was one piece in particular I wanted to see.  You may remember a couple of years ago, I wrote an entry about my favourite piece of street art being destroyed.

One of the artists had been invited back as part of this years Nuart festival to paint something new.  At 12 stories, it’s the largest piece Nuart has ever commissioned and it is beautiful:

Picutres really don’t do it justice.

On the Saturday, I went for a meal with my sister and nephew and then me and my nephew went to the Cove Rangers game.  Cobe won 2-0, but unfortunately I missed both goals.

The highlight of the next three days was records.  My parents have a bag full of records and they let me have a rummage.  These are the ones I claimed:

To be fair, most of them are mine.  I’m not sure how they play.

Then it was Christmas day.  From my parents I got slippers (which I needed to exchange as they were too small, though they should have fit me) and £30.  From  my sister, I got deoderant, some sweets and this needle minder:

Which I think is hilarious.  We had Christmas dinner (chichken, not turkey) and I actually got to watch the Doctor Who special this year, which I enjoyed.  Sadly, I didn’t get to see the new Wallace and Grommit.

Friday, I went for a swim and to spend my money.  I got these records:

The Emily Barker was the most expensive and the other three were £5 for the three.

And that’s about it, apart from the fact my brother is actually brining the kids up today for a few days.

Happy New Year folks!
