And continuing with my theme of quirky pics that kinda do meet the prompt but also kinda don’t, here’s four things I love: Galactica Actual (my beloved laptop), my rolling machine (which furnishes me with smokes), a good book (Blind Eye by Stuart MacBride, I highly recommend all of his stuff) and a good film (in this case Brick).

RYN: well I loved the book .. still do. But I don’t know if you are likely to be as smitten by young Mr Bana as I am .. if not, then you might find the movie a bit flat … I just don’t think it is the film that could have been made from the book. It is a book about struggle and anxiety, and this oasis of joy in the middle of it, to me. The book reflected the struggle and the anxiety, but not the joy as well as I had imagned it. Dunno what to say — I went to support the public library, who had organised the showing. I have a friend who saw the preview of the movie and decided not to go of those were the best bits – she loved the book too.
