Borderline prediabetic
Full pic:
Yeah, don’t ask what this is supposed to be.
I got a text from the doctor today. My blood test shows that I’m borderline prediabetic type 2. So, that’s diet changes I need to make. And on Monday, I need to go back and get more bloods taken. I’m beginning to regret not ignoring the text I got from the doctor inviting me to go in for a blood pressure check.
I recently found out that there’s a new independent record shop opened in Stockton, so I made a trip out there. I had a nice chat with the owner and, of course, I bought stuff. I got Monty Pythons Life of Brian, the RSD black Friday release of I Want To hold Your Hand and I Saw Her Standing There by The Beatles, and the RSD BF release of Music for Films and TV by Angelo Badalamenti, which contains the absolutely most gorgeous verson of the Twin Peaks theme:
On my way to the shop, I passed an independent book store and found out that stephen Fry has finally released his version of Odyssea, whic is the last book in his Greek mythology quadrilogy. I had to get that as well.

I’m sorry to hear about the prediabetic diagnosis, but you’re right to try to treat it with dietary changes. If you can avoid diabetes and medications, it’s much preferable. Sounds like you made some fun purchases — especially the Beatles recordings.

It’s a good thing you went to the doctor when you did, rather than find out in 10 yrs you have a full-blown case of diabetes. A few diet changes and a daily walk or other exercise may be all you’ll need to keep diabetes at bay. I’d rather do that than have to take pills for the rest of my life.

Make sure you do what you need to to stay prediabetic! When I was told I was prediabetic, the doctor didn’t tell me what it meant or what to do about it. So … How I wish I’d done some research and prevented the fall from grace.
