To wake up and find you…

To wake up and find you…
Sleeping so sweetly against my shoulder,
That the sweet scent of you pervades my every breath,
The little puffs of heat you make against my skin,
Sends shivers through me,
And a tender kind of passion is now born,
No less potent from the wild passion you called from me,
Just a few short hours before…

I could wake up with you like this everyday,
And feel more wonder from it,
For when your eyes open,
They will sparkle at me,
With a smile, and promise,
And such unfaltering love,
Could one ask for more?
Especially when that one loves you more?

No, for the chance to curl my fingers around the twirls of your hair,
And to trace the gentle curves of your face, looking up for a kiss,
To sit accross from you at the dinner table in companionable silence,
Have you rested at the croock of my shoulder while we watch TV,
For the laughter, and debates of minds in our conversations,
The sweetness of you kiss, as I leave for the day,
The happiness and warmth of your welcoming arms when I return,
And the unbridled passion you releas in us both in primal love,
I cannot imagine going a day wihout you, if I wasn’t forced to,
Even forced, it would be trying….

We are blessed for this moment,
To wake up with each other,
To the smile and promise of a new day,
That just gets better and better.
