I have to this for me/ for my kids
So I am going to make a serious effort to get healthy and in shape. Last summer I lost 25lbs of the 80 or so I actually need to lose. I had the motivation that going to the gym got me out of the house away from my mother in law. Well when she moved out I lost my sitter and could no longer go. I have gained that 25 back plus some. I cant stand to look at myself anymore. I dont like having my picture taken. I feel like my kiddos are embarrassed to be seen with me. They would never say that because they are wonderful and wouldnt dream of hurting my feelings but I would be embarrassed if I were them. I have made up my mind I am doing it. We are gonna make it a family affair. everyone is gettting new bikes for easter and we are all doing some sort of workout every day. I want my childrent to grow up healthy i want to be able to enjoy my time with my kids. I WILL DO THIS!!!!!! my starting weight is 214. I am 5 foot tall so my goal weight is 130. I am gonna set small goals for myself though. Like first I just wanna get below 200. I have to find a way to treat myself once i get there though. Any of you reading this have any suggestions? I want someone who has been big and dropped the weight to give me pointers. How often should I weigh? I already know I’m gonna try to eat around 1300 calories a day. I wanna work out 4 times a week for at least an hour. and I may actually do 30 minutes of cardio on like wednesday…..input and support would be awesome…
RYN: I know right? Some people never learn. I had 30 lbs to lose. I did South Beach and 4lbs fell off the first week without any gym time. I’ve since lost 20 (since last June -I wasn’t terribly diligent) and have the last 10 to go. Starting over on SB and lost 2lbs last week, no gym time. SB is awesome because it works in phases which are totally do-able. Check it out!

PS. I weigh myself like 2-3x a week, check progress and assess. When I get to my favorite/ideal weight I step on the scale almost every morning. That way if I gain like 3lbs (I fluctuate a lot) I can watch eating and H2O. I’m on the taller side so I can easily put on weight without really noticing until it’s like 8 or 9lbs. Good luck girl! Keep motivated you’ll be great!

I’m not exactly the person most dieters take advice from cuz I’ve never dieted but I can tell you what I did to not ever be overweight. & I can tell you after I started seeing a change in my body around 40 I started counting calories & it did not do anything but make me hungry & crave bad stuff…even tho I eat healthy normally. I think having other ppl to keep you on track is very important.
