Question

pregnancy calendar

For the last several days anytime I get up and do anything, like cleaning or walking I start having contractions.  They do not really hurt, but on Sat night I had like 6 of them in about 45 min.  When I lay down, they slow down and I only have a couple an hour.  I took it easy on Sunday and anytime it felt really bad today, I laid in my car for a little while.  Is this pre-term labor?  What should I do?

nope its perfectly normal..trust me…those are braxton hicks contractions.. it is your body warming up to having the real thing.. and the fact that if you relax they go away is telling you that it is fake/practice contractions.. thats how the doc will tell you to figure out if they are real …they will tell you to lay down and drink somthing and if they go away then they are fake…

Nope, at this stage of the game it is completely normal. They are braxton hicks. If they don’t go away when you drink water, change position, or lay down then that is pre term labor.

as long as they arent too painful, then they are just Braxton Hicks

Make sure you’re drinking a lot of water! Dehydration can make you contract as well. If it gets too bad, take it easy… but don’t worry too much, as long as they aren’t too regular!

They are probably just braxton hicks, which is completely normal. Call your doctor if you need reassuring

Those are braxton hicks.. Basically if they go away then it’s not labour.. With labour the contractions get stronger and closer together.. If they stop when you stop doing an activity (or perhaps even start doing an activity), or eat, etc.. then you know it’s not for real- labour doesn’t stop. They’re normal, and nothing to worry about.
