E
Taken from Georgette-
Comment on this entry with a note that you want to play, and I will give you a letter. Write five words beginning with that letter in your journal, including an explanation of what the word means to you and why, and then pass out letters to those who want to play along.
She was kind enough to give me the letter E.
Evening-
One of my favorite times of day. Since moving to Pullman I have seen many amazing sunsets in the evening. It always amazes me as day ends how much I relax. It is also the time that I get most of the work for the day done. It is a time to reconnect with my family as we are all usually home by evening and can sit and talk as well. During the summer it is the cool time of the day so going out and doing outdoor activities is nice and during the winter it is a time to curl up under blankets and be cozy. All around it is a good feeling time for me.
Eviction-
This is a big one for me right now. The house we were renting changed hands and the new rental agency was useless. They sent us two eviction notices because they were unable to keep good enough records of what was paid when so they thought that we had not paid rent that we had. It was very irritating and proved to me that the rental agencies in this area really do play fast and loose with the rental laws. And they really are as incompetent as I have heard they were. I will not be renting from them again, that’s for sure!
Education-
I love to learn! I was not the best student when I had the chance at free education and now I have to pay for it myself. I think that if there had been some sort of agreement about it being my money it would have been different. I am currently working towards my MBA and hope to finish it by next April, but I might not be able to. My parents were kind enough to put money away when I was little to pay for me to go to college and I goofed off during my undergrad. It made it very hard to get into grad school and I am still kicking myself for it. However, I really feel that I have a responsibility to set up my children in the same manner. I think that if you have high expectations for your children education wise, they will do their best to live up to it. So I have to show myself that I can do it so that I can expect it of my son and any future children. I also hope to continue my education. I would like at some point to get a second bachelors degree and maybe my PHD eventually. It is a huge commitment in time and money, but I think that it would be worth it in the long run, simply to prove to myself that I can.
Elegant-
Something I try to be, but rarely manage. I was raised to act like a lady and my parents were somewhat old fashioned. This means that I can manage through any formal occasion (how many people my age actually know how to curtsy?). I also try to make my home look elegant and in doing so, keep it neater than it has been in the past. However, on a college students funds, it is a bit challenging, so I do the best I can.
Escape-
What is seems that I have been trying to do my entire life. In the past I have never seemed to be happy where I am and always want to get somewhere else. Much of the time I wish that I could just run away. Now that I have a child and have to deal with his needs as well as my own, I think that things are changing. Hopefully for the better!
And this is the END!
I want to play!
