10 Day Challenge – day 3

Day One: Ten things you want to say to ten different people right now.
Day Two: Nine things about yourself.
Day Three: Eight ways to win your heart.
Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot.
Day Five: Six things you wish you’d never done.
Day Six: Five people who mean a lot (in no order whatsoever)
Day Seven: Four turn-offs.
Day Eight: Three turn-ons.
Day Nine: Two images that describe your life right now, and why.
Day Ten: One confession.

Well I never saw anything about them being ten consecutive days…
Day Three: Eight ways to win your heart.

1.  Empathise with me about my situation.  Tell me I’m a brave survivor, rather than a burden on society.  Be a good listener.

2.  Make me feel needed and valued.  Give me something useful to do, preferably something others can’t do.

3.  Convince me I’m wrong about something, but that the truth is better or more interesting than I’d imagined.

4.  Teach me a new skill.

5.  Introduce me to a new area of knowledge.

6.  Be witty, be smart, fire up my mind.  Challenge me intellectually.  Be irreverent and subversive.

7.  Show me that we share the same values.  Show me better ways to live them.

8.  [Romantically, specifically] Pursue me, but only if I scare you.

I remember reading a wish list of traits a guy put on a BBS I used to frequent back in the day. One of his things was that she had a passion that frightened him. I’ll try to look him up for you, if you want.

ryn: THanks for the thought. I think they’re making my toes stronger. I have inserts from a podiatrist that weaken my toes, so I try to flex them in the five fingers. Wearing them on the sandy bottom of the lake feels like one of the best things I’ve ever done for my feet. Flexing my feet in the sand has always felt great in recent years and doing it while the five fingers contract my arch seemsto be making a good thing better.
