slacker!

(I copy and pasted this from one of my other diaries.)

Right. Now anyways, on to the important stuff. I had a perfect weekend!!! For starters, I’m not pregnant, I got my period on Saturday so that was a huge relief. We got up early at around 5am to head into Richmond, and our plane finally left around 8am. Not the most comfortable mode of transportation, but it was incredibly cool to watch Steve work. I got to go up to the front for around an hour, and check out the amazing view! I’ve never seen anything like it. Well when we finally arrived, we pretty much went straight to the hotel. I watched t.v. and took advantage of the mini-bar before getting ready. The dinner was alright, we had smoked salmon as an entree and the main course was lamb and cous cous with roasted carrots and parsnip. (Not a big fan of red meat, so I only ate a little to be polite! heheh) Dessert was a lime tart of sorts, good, but not great. Free champagne and wine all night made up for it!! By the time speeches rolled around I was well and truely slammered. They were interesting but by the end I was having trouble staying alert to listen. After midnight everything began to wind down, and because everyone was so tired we decided not to go out afterwards. We went back to the hotel, and I crashed basically as soon as I hit the pillow. The next day we got up around 8am. The guys all left to set up for the air-show, and the girls went out for a nice breakfast in a cafe along the water. We sat there for over 2 hours just talking, getting to know each other. It was really good to finally meet some people who live in the area, and I can hang out with. Stephen picked us up later in a big van, we went to the air show and had a good time! Being “VIP” (life is sweet, isn’t it??) we got to sneak inside to use the washrooms, grab some coffee, food, etc.. So that was really nice. By the end of the day, it was pouring rain and we found out we had to make an extra stop on the way home! I knew it’d be a long and uncomfortable ride, with 2 stops in between, but thankfully I made it through and didn’t feel sick at all. We got back to the base pretty late, Steve had to do a few things before heading home so I just sat around with a couple of other people chatting. When we finally got home, I walked in the door to see a sparkling clean house (I was quite surprised) Danielle cleaned up the whole place while we were gone!! Yay for sister in laws, I was psyched!! So we went straight to sleep, and it was back to work on Monday for Steve and I spent the day relaxing. All in all I couldn’t have asked for anything better, I met tons of cool people and got to see what Steve does while he’s gone on these trips. I can fully understand now why he’s so tired when he gets home, which is good because I know not to put so much pressure on him to talk and pay attention to me as soon as he walks through the door :oP

Anyways! Not sure what I’ll get up to today, Danielle is working until I’m not sure when, and Steve’s gone flying until tomorrow. Maybe I’ll be back to write some more later, if I get bored :o) SeeyaZz.

Have a Nice Day! *rojakolab*

Hey!!! Glad the pregnancy scare was nothing!! Finally, you met some cool people? And the airshow sounded pretty fun. Being VIP and behind the scenes is the best. Thanks for writing Kris! Take care!

I have never flown before. I bet the awesomeness doesn’t diminish that quickly, does it?
