And I’m choosing to blog. Why? Beause the excel spreadsheet I’m working on at the moment is blinding me, due to a severe lack of coffee in my system. I’d actually contemplated giving coffee up – I’ve gone on a new health kick as of yesterday (will explain later,) but decided to go with baby steps instead. lol, Maybe giving up my precious java will come later, but for now give it 30 minutes and I’ll be good to go. *yawn* I need my glasses, but they’ve been lost in the abyss known as "Kristin’s hallway closet." They’re probably in one of my (several) handbags, laying on the floor on top of my most precious shoe collection. Oh my poor, poor shoes. They need a better home. I need some shelving, or perhaps some clear rubbermaid containers with polaroids of each individual pair of shoes taped on to the front the way they do it in Hollywood. Nothing is ever too good for a drama queen, right? *smiles innocently*
Ok, I’m rambling now. (So what else is new?)
Anyways, about this so called "health kick." After a long and rather dramatic discussion with Cynthia yesterday morning about how fat and gross we’ve both become like, oh my god I ate McDonalds yesterday! … OMG, I ate WAY too many pizza bagel bites … You have NO idea how gross I look with no clothes on … Yes, we are girls, there’s no doubt about it – and I still maintain the fact that SHE looks great. We decided to do something about the situation. So we started a walking club at work over the lunch hour. 12 – 12:30pm every day, walk to the river and back. And I’ve made a vow to start running after work and on weekends. On top of that, I did my grocery shopping yesterday. There is now little to NO junkfood left in my house. I bought whole wheat pita bread, hummus, mixed greens salad, broccoli, baby carrots, eggs, cheese, fat free sour cream and skim milk. I have brown rice, and canned tuna packed in spring water in my pantry, and chicken breast in my freezer. That should keep me going for a while. In fact, maybe I’ll start a mini food diary at the end of my daily blogs here. Starting today. That way if I eat shit for lunch I’ll have to tell you all about it. And then I’ll feel like an idiot. Sounds perfect! lol.
So it’s raining outside, I’m not sure what kind of a walk we’ll get in over lunch but perhaps I’ll steal my parents treadmill and take it to my apartment later tonight. They offered. The rest of the day will be slow going for the most part. I’ve got one internal conference call happening this afternoon, and that’s about it. After work I’ll go home, cook myself something reasonable for dinner, and then head to Earl’s because for the last two weeks I’ve been invited to Guy’s Night and turned the offer down. This time I figure I had better show up, because when you’re a female, guy’s night is a privelege not a right. lol. Not only that, I could use a good evening with friends. Especially mid-week.
Ok, so lunch today is as follows: 1 small pita bread, 2 slices of cheddar cheese, a handful of baby carrots, some sugar free applesauce, and an apple.

i really miss being on my own food-wise. i ate so much healthier, and i lost weight. at my parents house, there is too much chocolate. 🙂
