good.times
Well I’m back from New Zealand, and ready to face this big bad city once again! I recieved three job rejection letters in the mail while I was away. How lame is that? Even “Bras n Things” shut me down!!! I feel so low… On the brite side, Stephen and I had an awesome time on our trip. We spent 5 days up in the mountains, at Okahune. The weather was perfect, sunny and clear sky. We got tons of gorgeous pictures, and spent all of our time outside. We took a couple of drives, went to Lake Taupo which was beautiful. On the way there we ran into thousands of sheep on the road! I guess it was normal for the locals, but it took us 25 minutes to drive 3km! Some farmer was taking his flock up to another field or something, and he decided to walk them there along the road. There must have been thousands of them and we just had to push our way through. Sheep are so freakin stupid!! They’d look at the car, start walking straight towards it then turn around and run away. Very funny, I’ve got a video of it. Anyways, after the mountains we drove back to Auckland and spent the rest of our time there. The weather had turned pretty sour, but it didn’t matter because we spent the majority of our time shopping. We bought a printer with the money my Oma had given us for a birthday/easter present. We also bought a dig. camera which I am now addicted to and have been taking pictures all over the house just for the hell of it, lol. It’s super nice. I got 2 new pairs of shoes…a pair of “retro” sketchers, some nice black boots, and a super hot pair of Jeans that I want to wear every single day because they look so good on me, haha.. Oh, and I also got a Roxy denim bag with frayed edges and a white strap that I really really like. So, we did the shopping and on one of the last days we went off to some thermal water park. It was pretty cool, the whole place was naturally heated! They had water slides, a movie pool, and a private spa… Steve and I booked the private spa for an hour, so we got a hottub all to ourselves, use of the steam room and the sauna. It was sooooooooo sweet, super relaxing. We went out for a couple of good meals, but nothing spectacular. On the last morning, we went out for what was supposed to be a nice breakfast. My french toast was good, but Stephen’s waffle looked like it’d been run over by a truck. Even an Eggo would have been better! Not to mention there was dust falling from the cealing onto my plate, because they were doing construction on the top floor. What can you do though, hey… After breakfast we went to some near by markets, and bought a really pretty dolphin wind chime! I have to find a place to hang it now, I’m thinking maybe in the kitchen by the screen door. Then we headed back towards the airport, dropped off the rental car and off we went. The airline served some pretty awesome pasta salad, and I was rather surprised! It was excellent for airplane food, and then we got kiwi-honey flavoured icecream for dessert. I thought that might taste a bit nasty, but to be honest I rather enjoyed it :oP Some weirdo sitting next to me was reading my magazine over my shoulder the whole way.. I hate it when people do that. He was probably the same age, and I think he was just perving on all the chicks or something. Loser. All in all it was an awesome time, and I got my visa which was the purpose of the whole vacation. I am now allowed to work permanently, full time and go to school! I’m going to start looking into different uni’s and hopefully will be able to get that started as soon as possible. I guess that’s all for now, hope you’re all doing really well. Later!
