.delicious.

Yesterday, Stephen and I celebrated our 1 year together. Strange I suppose, considering we’re already married. I don’t think May 11th will ever become insignificant, but next year we’ll have been married for a year which I suppose in the grand scheme of things is much more important, hehe. One year ago, on May 11th 2002 I had plans to go out for my friend Kelly’s birthday. Shortly before heading out the door to meet goodness knows where, we got a phone call that my cousin Alyssa had been born. I couldn’t have been happier! Atleast I didn’t *think* so. And then we headed to the Tijuana Yacht Club to down a few and dance the night away. We met Stephen and his friend Matt at the bar. I had invited them to come out with us, because ofcourse by this time I had a massive ass crush on the guy and I thought ‘if he doesn’t ask me out tonight, then for gods sakes I’m going to do it’ lol. Well it turned out I was in luck, because I guess after an hour and the consumption of a few alcoholic beverages, he worked up the nerve. Some cheezy slow song came on, which is unusual for most bars in Winnipeg. I essentially dragged him out on to the dancefloor, and after some kisses and conversation he asked “how would you like an Australian boyfriend?” How cute is that?! Well since that night we’ve been inseperable, and look at all that’s happened… Incredible, really. In any case…last night was wonderful as well. As a wedding gift to us, my brother Kurt and his girlfriend Christine bought a fondue set. Well we decided to give it a try. We made a very deliscious beer and cheese fondue, tons of cut up veggies, I baked foccacia bread and veggie pizza squares, Steve made a strawberry and cream pie. We also bought a selection of other cheeses and crackers, and made lime margaritas! We set everything up in the livingroom on the coffee table, with candles and a bottle of wine. Kicked the cat into the kitchen for a couple of hours, hehe, and spent the evening enjoying ourselves. It was sooooooooo good! The food was a m a z i n g. There must have been enough for like 6 people, lol. The leftovers aren’t such a bad thing though. Well I woke up this morning with a slight hangover… I guess the margaritas and two bottles of wine we drank between the two of us was enough to get me a wee bit drunk. Go figure! But we had an awesome time together, and I hope we continue to for the rest of our lives :o) Seeya later, everyone.

Love,
