So Soon
I have 9 days left until my due date. That is so crazy to me! After the first 25 weeks or so of being sick and feeling awful this pregnancy flew by. Even though it was really hard with a toddler when I was sick all the time, I have loved having a 2 year old to take care of with this pregnancy. It made everything go by quickly and helped me stay really busy.
This baby also has not engaged their head into my pelvis which is kind of really amazing since my daughter had her head way down in there at 32 weeks. It was so uncomfortable and hard to walk and bend I had to stop working, but this time I can pretty much just continue doing whatever as long as I don’t push myself to exhaustion. My midwife told me to slow down, she said to imagine when I get up that labour will start that night, would I be too exhausted or would I be rested? It was a good piece of advice because I really have no slowed myself enough, I am exhausted every night and that would not be a good way to start labour.
I haven’t had any indication of labour or prelabour, so hopefully it’s as straight forward as it was the first time because I have to book a hotel, call my husband and drive about 3 1/2 hours to get to where I’ll give birth. My first labour was about 35 hours from the very first signs to the end, so this one should be long enough as well that we make it to the hotel.
We’re also getting really excited to find out the sex! Very soon!

Good luck!! 9 days is nothing! I have 79 days until my baby is born (planned C-section). And I also have a toddler and have found that it’s really helped the pregnancy go by quickly. Glad you’re still feeling good and not too uncomfortable yet. I wish you a good labor and hope you have enough time to get to that hospital!
