Darkness complete
But some sensation of standing on solidity
Awareness of another

She hears an inhale

Then her eyes adjust, and she sees the darkness is not complete
Tiny flakes of light slowly rise around her
Like dust
– Where are we?
She asks again
The sound of him breathing

From the place her foot lands, the darkness bursts in brilliant colour
Rich vibrant green
Brilliant blue
A field that rushes outward at great speed
Her eyes widen
In the light she feels warmth
Waits for a horizon to form
But it never does
She turns slowly to see the man standing beside her
He offers his hand
She takes it
