NoJoMo #15: Do you feel you are an open-minded person? If so, do you think it comes naturally to you or do you think it is due to your upbringing/life circumstances?

A: I don’t think this kind of question can be answered with yes/no. I think it’s more of a percentage/varying degrees type thing. I feel I am for the most part very open minded.

I think I got my open-mindedness through my upbringing. My family has always been the “mind your own business” type, and we always watched shows like Bonanza, Mash, and Star Trek: TNG, it’s very hard not to be open-minded with great stuff like that.

To be honest, I wish everyone was more open-minded.

You know what’s sad? I googled and googled and googled for clips of How the West Was Won (China Girl episode), and particular MASH scenes, and there were no results for them anywhere. The closest I could find were snippets of Farewell, Goodbye, and Amen from MASH. Those shows were treasures/gems and you can’t find them on the internet. That’s sad. So I guess you get more Star Trek entries.
