Late Night Coding

Hello foxy lady favorites of mine. And Michael.

It seems I’m gonna be spending the majority of this month up late doing coding crap. Which is fun yet tedious. Oh well.

I just busted my brains for like a good 30 minutes trying to figure out a problem, and in the end it turned out to just be a strange glitch that really just couldn’t be fixed.

My program wasn’t running a piece of code of mine, and I couldn’t figure out why, it kept skipping over it. So I put a piece of code for it to run in an area I KNEW it was running and put code that basically said…

if OBJECT IS TRUE

then DO THIS STUFF

And then I assigned OBJECT to TRUE.

for you coders out there… it was

if(true)
{
int x = 0;
x++;
}

And it would look at the if(), and then skip over the code! I was like “wtf…”

And the if statement would come up… look right at the statement, and skip over the code. Pissed me off. So I do a clean/rebuild, and it starts working (which is like restarting your computer). Whatever.

Okay. Well I hope everyone’s doing okay. I’m doing good. Our project is coming along really well. We’re working in 3D now, we loaded up some 3D Meshes, but none of us are artists,… so all of our 3D models are stuff we stole, or really crappy Meshes.

Our main player right now… is The Black Pearl, from Pirates of the Caribbean,… because we can’t model very well ourselves…

All of our enemies/objects/obstacles are Cubes… So we jokingly say that all of the enemies in our game are Borg Cube ships. lolz.

Well hell, I can just post a screenshot, I don’t have to tell ya.

btw… have you ladies (or Michael) ever found a band that you could swear formed just for you? Right now I feel like that band is Three Days Grace for me. I love all of their songs it seems. They never seem to make a bad one.
