re: You’re right, the father’s sperm determines the sex of the baby. However, I also read that there are some men that propagate more sperm of one sex. Scientists aren’t sure why. But most men produce equal. Also, Y sperm are lighter and swim faster than X sperm, but X sperm are stronger and are able to withstand worse conditions. (If you ovulate a few days after you have sex, they say you’re morelikely to have a girl because the X sperm is able to live longer than the Y sperm).
