Good games.

Has anyone here ever read a book, watched a movie, or played a game that was so good, and the characters were so beautifully written and real, that when the book/movie/game ended, you cried, simply because there would be no more story?

Final Fantasy 6 is still the game that does that to me. I still have my original SNES under my bed, with my game, with my original save file.

I still get teary when the big “The End” comes up after beating that game. I really wish they’d make a sequel or a movie for Final Fantasy 6. I always wonder what happens to the characters after that ending. I always read the fanfics. Some are good. Some are bad. But it’s still a form of closure for those awesome characters.

And then there’s the message. I can’t express to you what the message of FF3 is. But basically it’s like the Shawshank Redemption’s “Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things” and “Love saves” of FF8. It’s amazing.

If anyone here ever wants a really good old school RPG to play, Final Fantasy 6 (3 in USA, 6 in Japan) is the game to play. It’s by far better than Chrono Trigger, Lufia series, Earthbound, and any other SNES RPG of it’s time.

I just watched the ending again recently and I’m all sentimental now. A lot of people nowadays have never even owned a SNES, much less played FF3. It’s sad.

They just don’t make games like they use to.

FFX was the first in that series I played through. Didn’t get all the way thru x2 yet, and I’ve started working through some other FF’s. Personally, when I read The Dark is Rising books over the summer I realized I did not want to finish the series! It’s sad that the story has to just end! Fanfics are just eh, not the right style 99% of the time. I’ll have to go play FF3(6) now. :3

youre seriously the third person i know who has told me that final fantasy 6 is the best thing in the world and that it moved them and ya de ya ya. i suppose thats good and all. my first love ben tried to get me into it but i just couldnt do it.

I do that with books all the time. I get so attached…nowadays I tend to read series only because of that lol. The Golden Compass books did that to me

ryn. yes! yahoo board game night would be lots and lots of fun. i used to play yahoo games all the time back in the day and now i don’t even remember if i have a password there anymore. sad times sad times indeed.

it’s good but not better than chrono trigger, not even remotely

I think we probably all have. I’ve been meaning to play any Final Fantasy game but Im really stuck on WoW. lol
