Can’t Sleep

I have to be up in 4 hours and I can’t sleep (3AM now). I hate when I’m like this. My mind just wont shut off. I just end up lying in bed, thinking.

I’ve been working on a personal project for a game I want to make. I attempted to draw the world image (something you’ll see 90% of the time during gameplay) today, and I think it came out… good. For my skills.

Keep in mind I am no artist!

The game is a mix between a lot of my favorite strategy games. But the main view is like the game of Risk, where you see the whole planet divided up into sections. So there’s the planet. I’m also working on the outline file which will cut the world into segments, but that’s nothing worth showing. It’s just a white square with black lines zigzagging through it. For masking.

I’ve decided I’m going to make the game in C#, rather than C++. Which means I’ve got a lot of… transferring to do. I’ve already written a lot of the code in C++,… and I’d rather just have it all in C# now.

The game’s going to be fun. And it gives me something to do in my personal time. Which is great. I installed Visual Studio on my Alienware today, so now I can code on my home comp, instead of JUST my school comp… which is nice.

Other than that, I’ve been reading all of my favorites, I have… just not noting recently. Sorry. The way I see it, if I’m not in a noting mood, I tend to leave shitty notes… like “lol, hope you are good” or “lol, sorry to hear that” or something lame. So instead of leaving a lame note, I don’t note at all, then come back when I’m in better spirits and leave a damned good note.

But either way. I’ve been reading.

I look forward to the days when I have graduated from college, have a job, and my own place. It will be nice.
