Another day.
Today I slept in. When I woke up I did some studying on some C++ data structures (Deques and Depth First Searches) because I was going to be doing some tutoring later in the day. I still love programming. =) And I still love tutoring programming.
I showed up at 4PM and we started covering the topic. She pretty much has the structures down – no problems. I think she’s going to be fine regarding that class.
I *need* to go in to work tomorrow. I definitely don’t want to, as I would rather spend my day off being off… but if I want to avoid what looks to be an insane February crunch… I have to put in some extra time. At least I get paid for it. =)
My older sister Pam called me during work yesterday and said I should apply for a job at Delta Airlines. Apparently programmers who work for Delta can get free tickets anywhere anytime – for them and their family.
As nice as that sounds… I don’t want to write code for airplanes. And I certainly am not as fond of traveling as I use to be. And I like my current job. I like the people I work with, I like what I do, I don’t want to go anywhere anytime soon. I’m mostly content with my life right now.
It seems that within a year or two I’ll be making more money than anyone else in my family does. You know what they say… It’s not a competition… but I’m totally winning.
I wish I had a little more free time. I want to play a game of Civilization 5. I’m kicking ass as Darius of Persia.
Oh well.
I’m still all set for moving into my new apartment later this month. Looking forward to having an empty ass place. I’m definitely going to have to buy some furniture… starting with a bed.
I wonder what (if anything) exciting thing is going to happen in my life… and when… still fighting off depression. I need something to take my mind off of it.
I need a distraction.
One of my room mates has been acting weird lately. He’s been telling us he’s depressed and he’s fighting off depression and he’s paranoid that people are out to get him and he’s not sure if they’re real or if they’re just his imagination.
My other room mate and I just kind of ignored him.
What can I say to him? Life is filled with crazy people. Everybody’s got their problems. I really didn’t have anything I could say to him that would’ve had a positive impact on him. So I didn’t say anything.
Starting to dread my room mates like Helen dreaded Bex. That’s saying something.

Wait a sec! If you have to buy a bed… what do you sleep on now? o.O

Haha, drastic indeed. Just make sure he’s not stealing your stuff and telling manipulative little lies, and it’ll all be good until you’re out! I love that bit about how you’re winning… even though it’s not a competition. I’m glad you’re doing well and enjoying your job and your work mates. That’s awesome.
