Memorial Weekend Plans
It looks like it will be a rainy Memorial Day weekend. I have no big plans. Last night I spread 18 bags of cedar mulch (I’m boycotting the old cypress mulch since they’re cutting these trees just to grind them up!). My energy level was low. Strange for me. I didn’t sleep that great and I hadn’t eaten too much during the day. Or, perhaps it was that piece of fudge – pure sugar – reacting with my system. We’ll see. Today I feel fine. I’ve been doing some yoga for the last 45 minutes and then pushed some weights around for added strength work. Still seem OK.
Today I need to get a haircut sometime, help Justin with his resume so he can land a reasonable summer job. If the rain takes a break (like now) I can get some more mulch and maybe even do some more yard stuff. (Just heard the blue jay and lots of other bird calls. They really like this weather)
I also need to get a 50th birthday card for Laura and get it mailed. Her birthday is Tuesday. I went on line and ordered her a red cowboy had (from the Red Hat Society). I think she’ll like it. Hope she wears it. I’m hoping it arrives today so I can ship it out to her. Otherwise it wont’ get there in time.
Grrrrrr. I got a crack in my windshield on the Alero. A stone from a truck on the highway. Pisses me off. It’s not the $50 that gets me. It’s the fact that when they’ll do a shoddy job of replacing it. My Rabbiit had this problem and they cracked the plastic all around the window when they put the new one in. – I guess this is just my anal side coming out. Need to learn to let go of the small stuff.
It’s 10:00 and starting to get humid. I guess I’ll need to shut up the house.
Namaste
Random noter: I’ve tried yoga, but can’t sit still long enough to actually get anything out of it. I’m more into strength training and hiking. Have a great weekend!

settling down for some time at home sounds healthy. Sorry about the rain acomin.’ It always should be reserved to rain on rethuglican parade, not a lefty middle roader. ‘Twas hot here, 89, yesterdee, and I didn’t go out. Got the AC ahumin’ so it was nice inside for old guy. Love to all.

That’s the thing I hate about buying gifts… Will they wear it?
