First Ride of 2007, OSU loses to Florida
Just a quick note while I nubble my lunch at the desk. Just finished my usual lunchtime walk – 2 1/4 miles, about 35 minutes. The temperature is in the 70s and it’s sunny. Tomorrow it gets cold.
Sunday was a beautiful day here on the North Coast. I got my bike out for a short ride – about 10 miles. Then spent most of the day puttering and reading in the yard. My brother, Mike, called me to wish me a Happy Birthday. It was nice to hear from him. He’ll be at the wedding this weekend with Susan but none of the kids.
Diane slept late and then she joined me in the yard. We enjoyed watching the spring birds and the squirrels. About 4:00 she called our neighbors and invited them over for a cook out. I love a spontaneous event. They joined us until dark out on the patio.
Yesterday was in the upper 60s and windy. I read in the yard in a sunny spot (The Innocent Man by J. Grisham – non fiction – good book about failed justice in a small town. Nichole is now reading it with her OSU class on criminal justice). After that we just warmed up some leftover cookout food and I watched the first half of the National Championship basketball game. I can’t believe they start the game at 9:21pm. I suppose for the west coast folks but I hate staying up late for a game now. Anyway, OSU got beat by Florida in the end. I went to bed at halftime and caught the highlights on the news.
gotta run,
Namaste
Too bad that the Buckeyes couldn’t shoot. What was it, three treys out of 24 attempts? Lot of missed layups too. Isn’t that Oden a big man and 18 years old… looks like 38 or something. A match for Noah. Weather gonna turn colder and rainy/snowy. Dress warm.

RYN: Sometimes I wonder *IF* almost half the US voted for him….:)
