Cabin Floor Layout

Here is a picture of my brother, Gerry, dragging the last of the floor timbers up to the site. You can see the notches for the floor joists. Screwed onto the bottom of the timber is a board acting as a sled.  After dragging the timbers up  we the then we used a strap to lift them (mostly) into place.

Here is a picture of the timbers laid out approximately the way they will go together.  The shot is a bit blurry since it was getting a little dark. I’ll try to post a better one sometime.

Today we’re getting a nice snowfall. Looks like several inches at least.  I’m going out to play. If I can’t ski then I’ll push some snow around with my ATV plow.
