Bike Ride and Cat Piss

I had a short day trip for work today that resulted in me getting home at 4:15pm. It was about 90 degrees and sunny so I decided to get a bike ride in. I changed and grabbed my phone then realized that Justin had called. I called him back and we talked for a short time. I was in a hurry so we didn’t talk long. Now I can’t even remember the point of his call. Sometimes he just calls to reconnect but usually he has some news.  Oh – I just remembered – he bought a violin. He’s talked about it a number of time over the last year. Last night he called to say he saw one at the music store for $89. I encouraged him to buy it since he is so into music and it was not just an impulse buy. Anyway, he said it was tough to play compared to the guitar. I reminded him of when he first started guitar and just how hard it was.

I said goodbye and took off. I haven’t been riding much so I only went for an hour, about 15 miles. I know, pretty wimpy, but it’s a start. Now that I’m not traveling for a couple weeks and I have a long weekend coming I feel the need for some physical activity.

After dinner I had to help Diane clean up some cat piss on her doll hutch. I’m a little discouraged. I put down laminate flooring in the dining room and living room 2 years ago. Now where the cat has pissed the flooring is bubbling. Probably about 6 pieces of floor will need to be replaced. I kept plenty but what a pain it is to tear it all up and reinstall. Grrrrrrrr. I think I like wild animals better than "pets". Remind me of this when I start looking at a Frisbee dog.
