2024 Happenings
Some life things that have gone on since my last entry:
Lyme disease recuperation continues. I fear that I may have plateaued with lingering joint pain, mainly in the hips. The major muscles that attach to the hips are where I feel it the most. When I go to the gym and push myself it is very apparent. I’m less stiff when I sit down for long periods of time but car trips are tough. I need to break about every hour.
Diane’s mom is adjusting to the nursing home. I thought that she wouldn’t last six months but she’s hanging in there. Memory problems are getting worse. We took her out to BIL’s for Thanksgiving and she could not remember where she was living. She is down to 95 pounds and needs a walker.
We took another Viking river cruise in September. The Danube this time. Justin and Joni came with us along with my two best friends and their spouses. Had a great time up until we both contracted Covid. Didn’t get to see much of Budapest because of it. We flew business class over and back and that made a huge difference. Pricey but worth it to me.

We also bought a tank level and vacuum monitoring system that we can access from our phones. These two things will reduce the time spent trudging around checking on things and trips to the sugar house. The syrup making business takes more time from me th
Oh cool a sugaring op. Neat- I live in Vermont; not that it wouldn’t be neat even if I didn’t!
The hip pain you describe has recently ‘attacked’ me, hmm I hope not on Lyme. Those damn ticks.
