[Sc]Ramble?

I didn’t have ANYTHING that I had to do today, and let me tell you – it felt fuckin’ GREAT. I didn’t have any school and didn’t have to worry about any work related responsibilities. I woke up late for the first time all week. Ugh, the last two days were horrible in particular. I opened at work and had to be up at 6 am. Fuck. That shit ruins my whole day, I swear. I feel all tired for the rest of the day and refuse to sleep…because I hate sleeping during the daylight hours. Yeah, fuck naps. I could say a lot about that shit, but I won’t. Heh. We’ll save the subject of MY HATRED OF DAYTIME NAPS for another day.

After playing PC games for most of the early afternoon though, I finally showered, got dressed and drove my ass over to Guitar Center. I wanted to see if they’d gotten any new, cool shit (They kind of didn’t). I had the entire day off, you know, so I spent about an hour in there. I plugged in a big, beefy bass amp when no one was looking and tried out like every bass in the place. (RHYMING IS EASY, KIDS!!!!) I tried a Warwick, I tried several Fender Jazz and precision basses (which I’m horribly biased towards – I happen to think they are over hyped and used in the music scene far too often. People use ’em to kind of look…I don’t know – classic, fail safe, cool, I guess. And that shit doesn’t fly with me.) and decided that my bias was A-OK. They don’t sound that great. On the other hand, though…I think I may have found a bass that makes my heart flutter.

Alas, it is really expensive but still worth every penny. I will have that bass – believe me. But in the meantime, I think I found something that I’d love to have. Take a look. (Again.)

The brand is SHECTER. It’s a Stiletto Custom, out of the Diamond series. I used this thing and was AMAZED by the tone. It’s about 5 bills and I honestly think I’m going to do a little saving to get it in a few months. * eyes water * Look at how pretty it is. I also applied for credit at Guitar Center the other day just for kicks and got approved for 700 dollars. My card came in today. Restraining myself from using it is going to be difficult. But I think I can do it. That’s it for now, guys. I’ll be writing soon.
