of pills and teaching
Well, leaving teaching did not happen for a number of reasons. Mostly, the job was intensely boring and not at all how they described it. I wasn’t doing graphic/product design; I was doing glorified secretarial work. Which lost its glamor say, back when I graduated from college and actually had better options.
But school should be good. Jennifer’s no Alisha. Nobody could be. The room looks pretty cute, though, and I think we’ll have a decent year. This year’s group, teachers have often reminded me, is “the class.” The talkative, disruptive, disobedient ones. Should be interesting.
This summer has been one of working on the house. In May & June, we laid sod for the whole backyard. I could really drone on and on about what a pain it was since we didn’t go buy it at Home Depot, but cut it ourselves, rolled it ourselves, transported it ourselves, etc. But that would be boring. Then there was the sprinkling system and the fence. Now that the fence is all up, we’re out there staining it. Last night Adam Homewood and Nick worked with Scott on it for a few hours. There’s still plenty of staining left, but our backyard looks like someone could actually enjoy spending time back there now. (If it weren’t so hot.)
Sunday (8/5) we spent with Kimmie & Shane. We hadn’t been over there just chatting in over a month, so it was a nice evening.
I met with my doctor recently. He’s changed my pill regime for the better. I was working with so many imbalances, and we think we’ve finally got most of them ironed out. My latest bio-meridian indicated that I was healthy in almost every area. My lymphs, liver, stomach, kidneys, and bladder were close to healthy but didn’t quite make the cutoff. Other than that, we’re pretty good. Oh, and my endocrine system was 6 points off.
So… (drumroll, please) they’re putting me on a prenatal program now, and they do think I could be pregnant by Christmas. It’s good news. They were talking about doing it last month, but decided it would be better to wait just a bit longer.
