wages of sin

So apparently, the wages of sin is death. Paul writes that we are slaves to sin. Our body’s desires are unholy and can never be good. Only the Holy Spirit can lead us to good. Anything good in our hearts is from the Holy Spirit.

How can we shouder the guilt and the shame of the things we’ve done to ourselves and others. Haven’t we all hurt other? Jesus says “let he who has not sinned, cast the first stone” as he spoke about a woman charged with adultery.

Luke (in Acts) writes that not one of us is holy. Not one of us is free of sin… not a single one

But the good news is that the Father, sent his only Son to die for our sinful nature. All we have to do is turn to him and you will find him. The only way to salvation is through Jesus Christ.

So how does one deal with the stuff we’ve done in the past? That’s what Jesus has done for us isn’t it? If you talk to Christians… real Christians who believe, you can see a type of peace and happiness that is just so foreign to the rest of us that we don’t even understand the first of it.

They live on another plane that seems so unatainable. So the Christian would say, “seek and you shall find”. Jesus promises that you will be saved! With the Holy Spirit, you will be “Dead to sin” (Romans).

That is good news…so how do you put this in your heart? How do you make this a reality instead of having it in my puny little head?
