Thinkin’ Bout Me
Has there ever been a song that you can listen to and each time you hear it from a different perspective – or you can feel it from another standpoint than your own?
Today YouTube was working its magic and played “Thinkin’ Bout Me” by Morgan Wallen – only it was the lyrical version. I glanced over and found myself taking the time to feel the music, hear and read the words – while singing along. And this time, I felt it from so many perspectives. And each one hurt – there was not one that I would rather be. The entire song brought on a different level of sadness.
Without further ado each POV:
POV: the wife speaking to her husband
Probably tell him we’re a burnt out flame
Probably tell him that I ain’t been on your mind
How I ain’t nothin’ but a long gone thing
You can curse my name
But baby, don’t you lie
Probably tell him that I ain’t been on your mind
How I ain’t nothin’ but a long gone thing
You can curse my name
But baby, don’t you lie
Do you hide your phone?
Did you change my name?
Every time you close your eyes, tell me who do you see?
When you’re tastin’ what he’s drinkin’, are you thinkin’ ’bout me?
POV: the wife to the mistress
When you’re up in his bed, am I up in your head?
Makin’ you crazy, tell me baby, are you thinkin’ bout me?
Are you thinkin’ ’bout
Are you thinkin’ ’bout
When you’re tastin’ what he’s drinkin’, are you thinkin’ ’bout me?
POV: mistress to the wife
When you’re up in his bed, am I up in your head?
Makin’ you crazy baby, tell me, are you thinkin’ ’bout me?
Yeah, are you thinkin’ ’bout me?
Are you thinkin’ ’bout me?
Makin’ you crazy baby, tell me, are you thinkin’ ’bout me?
Yeah, are you thinkin’ ’bout me?
Are you thinkin’ ’bout me?

Like I told Queen Gloom, my ex’s new fiancée is a fat cow. Am I jealous? Yes.
@kittenklawz thankfully; I am not jealous. I am mad. He honestly left me for less – as I told her; “you’re one of 100’s I can assume – you just showed up”….. I will forever jab at her with my words.
@unfilteredhousewife Same. I’m angry too. He maybe thought that he was leaving for a better model but holy shit, man is she ever an ugly woof woof.
@kittenklawz AMEN!
Mine has admitted that her picture wasn’t what she represented – but he stayed for longer than a year. So that can’t say a lot.
